ABout me

My name is Solomon Ni and I am a junior at Jones College studying Social Policy Analysis. I am originally from the small city of Jonesboro, Arkansas where I live a few miles away from rice and soybean fields.

I currently have the pleasure of serving as the Student Association Treasurer where I manage the Student Association finances as well as oversee the Blanket Tax and its subsidiary organizations including the Thresher, ktru, and University Court, alongside the Blanket Tax Committee. Last year I served as Jones’ New Student Representative where I had the opportunity to author legislation pertaining to Rice’s General Education Requirements, Removal of the EarthCam from the Academic Quad, and making Election Day a non-instructional holiday.
